When you begin your volunteer journey with Pegasus, you’ll witness the magic that happens. The smiles, the progress, and the joy that you help create will undoubtedly be a rewarding experience. Join our incredible team of volunteers, and together, let’s make a positive impact in the lives of our participants and the community. Whether you have experience with horses or not, your passion, empathy, and commitment are what matter most.

Qualifications

Must be 14 years of age or older (horse experience not required).
Must attend an orientation and pass the volunteer training.
Must be able to walk on uneven ground throughout a 30-minute lesson.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Must commit to a weekly, same day and same time, schedule.

Responsibilities

Be on time! Arrive 15 minutes prior to our lesson time.
Be willing to learn and follow “The Pegasus” procedures.
Be willing to help staff with all chores.
Be able to perform volunteer tasks with minimal supervision.
Be willing to attend continuing education and training classes offered throughout the year

Registration Steps

We take you through the step-by-step process to become a Volunteer. Volunteer dependability is essential for the smooth running of our programs. We ask our volunteers for a weekly commitment to provide consistency for our riders.

Step 1

Fill Out Application

Fill out the Volunteer Application and then email it to info@pegasusridingacademy.org. You can also submit your application in person at the ranch.

Step 2

Sign Liability Waiver

Review and sign our liability waiver form. This protects both you and our organization during your volunteer activities with our horses and riders. Email your Liability Form along with your Volunteer Application to info@pegasusridingacademy.org. You can also submit these forms in person at the ranch.

Step 3

Schedule

Once your application is approved, we’ll contact you to schedule an orientation session and your first volunteer shift based on your availability and our program needs. If you don’t hear from us within five days, please send an email to info@pegasusridingacademy.org.
